I disagree with the prod, although I'm the original author. I'm still allowed to remove it, right? So done. You're welcome to revert if that's not kosher. Specific reasons are mentioned in the diff – I think it's a notable topic, mentioned in urban dictionary, etc. Obuibo Mbstpo (talk) 19:54, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Reversions

I don't agree with the reversions that have been made, especially those stating that a "novel synthesis" has been made. There were sources; they have been removed by others. This article is not about "hate sex" the term but hate sex the activity or concept. Therefore, the fact that a source cited does or does not use the specific term "hate sex" is irrelevant. It's like saying that citing an source about instant-runoff voting that refers to it as the "alternative vote" is inappropriate for our IRV article. It's the same thing, but the terminology is different.

Also, removing most of the article while it's up for AfD is not particularly good, as people voting will not have the benefit of it. It would be better to let them examine the sources for themselves and judge the reliability; the sources can always be removed after the AfD. I recommend that the removed content and sources be restored, although I'm not going to edit war about it. Obuibo Mbstpo (talk) 20:47, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Also, if the kind of reliable sources you want are the type that show up in JSTOR, you might be disappointed. But then again, most of the science fiction, The Simpsons, and other resources cited on Wikipedia are not reliable by that standard either. Not sure why you want to treat this article particularly harshly, other than that it just doesn't have as much of a constituency as those other articles.
