Hatiya (Bengali: হাতিয়া) is an island and also an Upazila of Noakhali District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.

As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Hatiya has a population of 295501. Males constitute are 50.73% of the population, and females 49.27%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 125512. Hatiya has an average literacy rate of 21% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. [2]
