[edit] 1924/25

Sunnucks' The Encyclopaedia of Chess gives crosstables for the tournaments from 1920/21. It looks like the 1924/25 Premier Tournament was held in two sections, as two crosstables are given labeled Section 1 and Section 2. Section 1 was won by Maroczy 6.5 ahead of Yates 5.5 and Seitz 5. Section 2 had Przepiorka, A. Steiner, and Tartakower tied for first. A note indicates that a playoff resulted in 1st= Maroczy and Tartakower, 3rd Yates, 4th A. Steiner, 5th Przepiorka, 6th Sietz. Golombek's Encyclopedia of Chess concurs that Maroczy and Tartakower won. The official website gives 4 winners (Maroczy and all 3 from section 2), but I think I'm going to trim the list to just Maroczy and Tartakower. Quale (talk) 03:04, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
