[edit] Hasta doesn't mean spear
??? "Hasta" = "spear"??? this is a bad translation, hasta doesnt mean at all spear, at least in spain, the word "asta" is used to reffer a flag stick, not either an spear that in spanish is "Lanza". My english is not as good as i need to translate the word "Hasta" but ill try: Iremos hasta donde necesitemos = We will go (where)as long as we need
- The very first words of the article are "Hasta is a Latin word meaning spear". Spear is a very good translation. Many words mean quite different things in other languages and there is nothing special about Spanish: hasta is also Sanskrit word meaning hand. The article title is quite clear that the Hasta in question is a spear; the body of the article is quite clear that this is about the specific type of spear carried by Roman soldiers. Did you, perhaps, come to this article via an inappropriate link? If so, please fix it. There is a disambiguation page for Hasta that might be of assistance.
