[edit] Name Spelling

I'm his great-grandaughter and I would like to point out that his name is spelt Hashem and not Hashim...please correct the title. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.203.131.87 (talk • contribs) on 02:09, May 4, 2006

I have encountered both spellings in my research, as well as other formulations of his surname. It is spelt Atassi and Atasi by different sources. I found Hashim al-Atassi to be the most commonly used spelling. That has more weight in determining naming conventions, if I'm not very much mistaken. --AladdinSE 08:46, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

Hashim al-Atassi is the correct speling. Please keep it as is. His Great-Granddaughter DO NOT have the fianl SAY..

Hashim al-Atassi is my great-grandfather's first cousin. Thank you very much for creating this page. I believe "Hashem" is the traditional spelling, and may be phonetically more accurate. But if "Hashim" is more commonly used now, it's completely fine. Thanks again.
