[edit] Cricket Project

Hello Harry and thankyou for your contributions. Do feel free to join us at the Cricket WikiProject, where we attempt to coordinate efforts to further the coverage of cricket on Wikipedia. There is also a Quiz for a spot of fun. Happy editing! Blnguyen (bananabucket) 08:21, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Commonwelath Games template

Hello Harry. May I ask you to consider temporarily halting the creation and addition of these templates, as I am going to ask WT:CRIC whether they are useful or simply clutter the page. The ICC Champions Trophy templates were rejected, and since the 98CG cricket was a one-off and the matches were not accredited ODIs, I get the impression that there would be an even weaker reception to this, and your work may be in vain. Regards, Blnguyen (bananabucket) 03:26, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Adam Gilchrist

Thanks for your addition. We need a source for that claim. The article is shortly going for Featured Article status and therefore cannot contain any claim without fulfilling WP:V. Who awarded that status? Can you cite a source (book, website) with details? Thanks very much. --Dweller 23:24, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Nice one! Thanks. --Dweller 09:49, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jimmy Maher

You undid my revisions to Jimmy Maher. The parts I deleted were references to the current season, and not significant to Maher's career as a whole, which is what I think the Wikipedia article on him should be about. Similarly, the story of his century in the one-day final of this season is also minor - there's no reason to include it and not include the others. In my revision, I talked about the double-century in the Pura Cup Final from last season, which is notable because of the very high Queensland score (6dec/900). Certainly it could have done with expanding, but I think it's better than the version you reverted to. Pappubahry 22:19, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:S-OG-G.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:S-OG-G.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 18:11, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:03._Sin_Feat._Rexxxona,_Lud,_Roleks_&_Crood_-_Upoznaj_Srbiju_(Part_II).ogg

Thanks for uploading Image:03._Sin_Feat._Rexxxona,_Lud,_Roleks_&_Crood_-_Upoznaj_Srbiju_(Part_II).ogg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 09:00, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Crood Sizzerb.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Crood Sizzerb.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Chowbok 08:54, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:S-OG-G.jpg

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:S-OG-G.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:14, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Sin Sizzerb

I've nominated Sin Sizzerb, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Sin Sizzerb satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sin Sizzerb and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Sin Sizzerb during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. [edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Sizzerb_Inc.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Sizzerb_Inc.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. User:Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr) 20:40, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Template:Australia Cricket Squad 1998 Commonwealth Games

A tag has been placed on Template:Australia Cricket Squad 1998 Commonwealth Games requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).
