This is just a personal list of people I admire, so that I can easily access their biographies. Most are modern or future leaders in business and politics.
- Tony Blair - charismatic and dogged under pressure.
- Bill Clinton - the greatest politician of modern times, could change the world as UN Secretary General.
- Thomas Friedman - one of the leading thinkers in the mainstream media today; The World is Flat should be compulsory reading for those of us about to make critical life choices.
- Bill Gates - must be commended for his incredible charitable streak.
- Al Gore - has taken his stature and become a statesman for the world in An Inconvenient Truth.
- José Ramos Horta - a man of courage, peace and inspiration.
- John F. Kennedy - he's been canonised in death, but this is well-deserved. The man who stopped a nuclear war.
- Edward R. Murrow - see Good Night, and Good Luck. to understand integrity.
- Barack Obama - if he runs for U.S. President while I'm still a student, I may travel to volunteer for the campaign.
- Kevin Rudd - successful Australian in China.
- James Wolfensohn - the most successful Australian leader abroad.
