So this is my user page, yes?
I only started using Wiki tonight. Is this a private page where I can experiment with different editing functions and so on? Or can anyone edit my page? If the latter, in what sense is it my page?
So this is how I put in bullet points, right:
- first point
- second point
- double-indented point
- another double-indented point
- third point
Or if I wanted to display numbered points, I'd do this instead:
- first point
- second point
- double-indented point
- another double-indented point
- third point
That second lot looks a bit messy. I wonder what happens if I combine the symbols thus:
- first point
- second point
- double-indented point
- another double-indented point
- third point
Yes, much better.
And if I get more ambitious and try to display an image, is this the way to do it?
Yes, that seems to work.
And what about the four tildes to sign something. Is that applicable here, or only in discussion pages? I'll try: Harristottle (talk) 10:48, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
So if I find an image in Wikipedia and want to use it, all I have to do is:
[[Image:Claude Monet, Impression, soleil levant, 1872.jpg|thumb|right|Claude Monet, Impression, soleil levant
Nope, that aint it. Try again:
[[Image:Claude Monet, Impression, soleil levant, 1872.jpg|thumb|right|Claude Monet, Impression, soleil levant (Impression, Sunrise), 1872, oil on canvas, Musee Marmottan]]
Not that either, will have to come back to it. Bit tired.
