Harlsbottom

Harlsbottom will be travelling in the U.S.A. from June 3rd onwards and will also be working on a version of Alistair Cooke and may not respond swiftly to queries.

Wikipedia editor from Cumbria, England. Naval history is my main interest but all aspects of British and military history - see my Library up top for example and my varied contributions to the site.

Photo Identification

This picture, featuring King George V and Admiral George Callaghan, was originally uploaded to Wikipedia as being taken on HMS Iron Duke. This was erroneous, as Iron Duke had superimposed turrets forward, while this ship has only the A turret forward of the fore superstructure. HMS Neptune fits the bill perfectly. I had worked out the date on which this could have been taken but I forgot to write it down!
