Talk:Hartford, Wisconsin
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I live in Hartford currently and a sign outside the city limits reads the population as 12,732 as I just checked it coming home from the local theatre, Hartford Theatres. If you wish to argue this matter feel free to do so. Clavette 02:56, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Don't know if anyone will read this comment anytime soon, so I'll post it for any needed future reference. Basically, the population information in Hartford, Dodge County, Wisconsin is inaccurate, as Hartford, WI within Dodge County is a partial "spillover" from the main city of Hartford, Washington County, Wisconsin, which had a population of 10,905. Now, according to the TIGER map server, the Dodge County portion only had a population of 9 in 1990. It is highly unlikely that this much smaller portion (in area) has gained 10,896 people in 10 years. If anyone is concerned, feel free to respond here. :-) Bumm13 12:12, 13 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree; the two articles should be merged under Hartford, Wisconsin, which is now a disambiguation page. A sysop needs to delete that page, move one of them to Hartford, Wisconsin, then redirect both Hartford, Washington County, Wisconsin and Hartford, Dodge County, Wisconsin to Hartford, Wisconsin. --BaronLarf 20:54, August 2, 2005 (UTC)

I've put the US Census figures for 2000, state estimate for 2004 and addition wiggle room in the introduction, along with a source. Hope this helps. --BaronLarf 21:03, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Is that the best picture of the city someone has?
