[edit] No references
This article does not cite any references in relation to content. I do not dispute that the person existed but unverified content may be removed where suitable third party references are not provided. The current reference that is present is a direct link to the website of the initial editor and breaches WP:V#SELF--VS talk 04:12, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
When VS talk deleted the link he also deleted the major notable reference source for this article. I guess that's the logic of using a guideline as a rule instead of applying it as a guideline only and assessing the relevancy of the link in the first place. --Takver 17:08, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Discuss links here
Editors regularly clean out undiscussed links from this article. Please discuss here if you want a link not to be cleaned out regularly. (You can help!)--VS talk 04:34, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
VS talk has removed an external link to a website which I published. I believe the link is a relevant citation to this article. I acknowledge as an editor of this article, this is potentially a conflict of interest.
The link:
- Harry Hooton (1908-1961) Poet and philosopher of the 21st Century by Sasha Soldatow
is an original source reference for this article. Sasha Soldatow wrote the contemporary biography on Harry Hooton. I believe this link is highly relevant to the article. Under Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guideline I should not add external links to articles I have published (even though they may be authoritative texts) except after raising them for discussion on the talk page. Please discuss and decide on the relevancy of the link.--Takver 17:08, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
- not having a coi i've just added it as the reference :), is that ok? in theory someone might quibble that your website might not meet WP:RS but as it's a reprint of soldatow's published introduction, can't really see how anyone can argue with that. ben ⇒ bsnowball 05:11, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
I've added the National Biography site to external links. Not at this moment pausing to beef up the article with material from that source but it wouldn't hurt. Jeremytrewindixon 02:37, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
