[edit] Inclusion of university dean?

The following is copied from the talk page of User:Zomboli, who wrote the second paragraph listed below.

Please read Wikipedia:Notability. If a person is notable (which the doctor that you repeatedly insert to Harrisburg, Ohio, seems not to be), he or she should be listed, but non-notable people should not be listed in a notable people section. Please stop adding him to the article. Nyttend 04:07, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Who are you to determine whomis notable and not. The man served as Dean of a University which is certainly as notable as a baseball pitcher. What is not notable to one may be very notable to another. You are not a king, just a contributor or an editor. If you feel so strongly I'd be glad to arbitrate this with and editorial board. I grew up in Harrisburg Ohio and probably have a far better idea of what is notable than you do regarding this small community.

[edit] Third opinion

  • The dean of the college is non-notable, and should not be included. Furthermore, a biography such as that should not be on this page. If he was that notable, he should have his own article (which, I would speculate, would be marked WP:AFD).
  • Jon Warden is non-notable either. I found this page about him, and it seems he only played for a few months, and that does not make him notable.
  • In the future, this list should be formatted so that all names are First Last (e.g. Jon Warden), and the names should not be in bold.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. — HelloAnnyong [ t · c ] 00:29, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
