Talk:Harold Klemp
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I feel the inclusion of the titular "Sri" is important as the title of the article. Sri Harold Klemp is regarded as the Mahanta, The Living ECK Master, of Eckankar. As such he is given respect. I don't think it's a "for or against" thing, either. Even protestants refer to the leader of the Catholic Church as "Pope". (CelebrityGuy 02:11, 16 March 2006 (UTC))

[edit] explanation
Hi Celebrity guy,
The title name has been changed back to the original Harold Klemp, but his title of respect, if you note, is still on the bio page.
Sri Harold Klemp's books and writings are listed under the name Harold Klemp. He does not write his books or articles under the name "Sri Harold Klemp."
Naming conventions can be found on Wikipedia:Naming conventions (people). Quite clearly, the article should be at "Harold Klemp", otherwise, when doing research it appears that his first name is "Sri" instead of "Harold."
I know your intentions are good, and this is not meant to be disrespectful to Sri Harold Klemp in any way. User: Equendil restored this...I didn't know how to fix it. If you go to my talk page you can review the discussion.
Thank you for helping on Wikipedia! I've been adding ISBN numbers and other info to lots of articles on here. Hope this helps. Best wishes, KarateLadyKarateLady 16:50, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Defamatory Material Excised
The remark that Harold Klemp's "tendency towards antisocial personality disorder is clear" is neither in line with Wiki's NPOV policies nor the stated policies for biographies of living persons, highly defamatory to Eckists and completely unsupported by any factual data.
I've removed it for that reason. Kamandi 25 May 2007
