[edit] External Links

I'm cleaning up the "External Links" section to go along with WP:EL. The ones I'm deleting fall under the "Links Normally to be avoided" categories 3, 4, 10, and 13. Those disagreeing with my cleanup and wishing to add some back are encouraged to read the section, "Advertising and conflicts of interest" and discuss here first. Thanks! [edit] 883cc vs. 900cc

A recent edit changed the displacement of the little sporties from 883cc to 900cc. While this might accurately reflect the "class" of motorcycle with which the Sporties compete, to my knowledge they have always been known as "883" in both nomenclature and in more technically accurate displacement measurement. If anyone has a problem with my changing this back, feel free to correct me here... if not, I'll make the change in a few hours or days. OldMan 19:52, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The K had rear shocks before the Sportster

"The Sportster was the first motorcycle produced by Harley-Davidson with hydraulic shock absorbers on both wheels."

No, it was not. The K from 1952 had hydraulic shock absorbers on the rear. The Sportster inherited these when it supplanted the K-series bikes in 1957. Respectfully, SamBlob 02:33, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
