Harvey L. Price

Harvey L. Price was the sixth Chief Scout Executive of the Boy Scouts of America serving from 1976 to 1979.

Price rose through the professional ranks of the Boy Scouts of America before becoming Chief Scout Executive in 1976. He is best remembered for allowing William "Green Bar Bill" Hillcourt to write the 9th edition of the Boy Scout Handbook, bringing back the outdoor orientation of the publication.
He has been awarded the as well as the Order of the Arrow Distinguished Service Award.
