Hartshead Sports College is a mixed, comprehensive 11-16 school in Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire. The school has been awarded specialist Sports College status. The school is oversubscribed, accepting 210 students each year.

The school was opened in 1956 and has been extended several times. Hartshead is a Community School, situated op the outskirts of Ashton-under Lyne and derives its name from nearby Hartshead Pike. In 1998 Hartshead was one of the first schools in the country to be awarded the prestigious “Sportsmark” by the English Sports Council.

The school uniform consists of a white top/blouse, and black trousers or black skirts, the school tie, and a black school blazer.
