Hartranft is a neighborhood in the central part of North Philadelphia section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.

Hartranft is on the border of the predominantly Black central region of North Philadelphia and the predominantly Hispanic eastern region of North Philadelphia.

As of the Census of 2000 Hartranft had 14,142 people and was 67.97% African-American, 23.83% Hispanic, and mixed races accounted for the remaining 7.09%.

43.17% of its people live below the poverty line and conditions are little better than South African townships in some cases.

The average housing structure was built in 1946. 43.12% of all properties were vacant as of 2000.
