Hartmut Grossmann was serving as a member of the Universal House of Justice, the supreme governing body of the Bahá'í Faith. He was elected in 2003 and left it in 2008.

Grossman was born and grew up in Germany and has an academic degree in German and English. He served on the National Spiritual Assemblies of the Bahá'ís of Germany from 1963 to 1969 and Finland from 1977 to 1980, when he was appointed Continental Counselor. He held the position until 2003 when he was elected to the Universal House of Justice.[1]
