Harsin

Harsin is a county in Kermanshah Province. It is bounded in the north to Sahneh County, in the south to Khoramabad Province, in the east to Nahavand and in the west to Kermanshah. According to 1996 census, Harsin County had a population of 96,019 people of which 55,079 were in the urban areas and 40,940 in the rural areas and the rest nomadic. It consists of two districts: central and Bisotun and four townships. The town of Harsin, the governmental seat of Harsin is 44km east of Kermanshah, 1570 meters above sea level. Some of the attractions of the county include: Essaqwand Rock Tombs.
