Harry DeBoer (19031992) was an American Communist. He was born in Crookston, Minnesota[1], and worked in the Minneapolis coal yards and became one of the leaders of the Minneapolis Teamsters Strike of 1934. DeBoer joined the Socialist Workers Party, and as a leading member of the SWP he was imprisoned under the Smith Act together with many other SWP leaders for opposing the US involvement in the World War II. In 1987, DeBoer wrote the essay "How to Win Strikes: Lessons from the 1934 Minneapolis Truckers Strike", in which he sought to make the tactics used in the Minneapolis strike known to a new generation of socialists.
