Harrison County School District

The Harrison County School District is a public school district based in Gulfport, Mississippi (USA).

In addition to serving portions of Gulfport, the district also serves the city of D'Iberville, the communities of Lyman and Saucier, and portions of Biloxi as well as most of rural Harrison County.

There were a total of 12,745 students enrolled in the Harrison County School District during the 2006-2007 school year. The gender makeup of the district was 49% female and 51% male. The racial makeup of the district was 26.10% African American, 68.65% White, 2.08% Hispanic, 2.88% Asian, and 0.29% Native American.[1] 45.9% of the district's students were eligible to receive free lunch.[2]
