The Harrisburg Mall is a regional mall located just outside Harrisburg in Swatara Township, Pennsylvania. It is the largest mall in the Harrisburg area. The mall, formerly known as the Harrisburg East Mall, fell into disrepair in the 1990's as its major tenant, Lord and Taylor, closed and the mall became mostly vacant. In 2004 the mall was renovated and renamed with Bass Pro Shops added as a major anchor in the space left by Lord and Taylor. Since then, the mall has turned itself around and is now over 90% leased.
The last phase of the renovation will be complete in 2008 with a brand new "streetscape" look on the north side of the mall. Tenants will include Barnes and Noble, Panera Bread and Sega Sports Grill among others.[1]
