Harold Marsh Sewall (1860-1924), born in Bath, Sagadahoc County, Maine, January 3, 1860. Member of Maine state house of representatives, 1896, 1903-07; delegate to Republican National Convention from Maine, 1896; U.S. Minister to Hawaiian Islands, 1897-98; member of Maine state senate, 1907-09; candidate for U.S. Representative from Maine 2nd District, 1914; member of Republican National Committee from Maine, 1924. Died, in a private hospital at New York, New York County, N.Y., October 28, 1924. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bath, Maine.
