Harold Hyman

Harold Hyman is an historian of the American Civil War at Rice University. In 2006, the History News Service discussed him in its series on history doyens.[1] He is now emeritus William P. Hobby professor at Rice.

He is the author of books including Equal Justice Under Law (with William Wiecek); The Reconstruction of Justice Salmon P. Chase: In Re Turner and Texas v. White; To Try Men's Souls.
