Harmony Headlands State Park is open space, part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area west of Sausalito.

The above description of Harmony Headlands is incorrect. Harmony Headlands State Park is in San Luis Obispo County and is just north of Morro Bay between the towns of Cayucos and Harmony. This park has never been open but the people of the area have been working to make it happen.
San Simeon State Park is is one of the 48 California state parks proposed for closure in January 2008 by California's Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as part of a deficit reduction program.[1]
