[edit] 1996 Summer Olympics
Arbi played badminton at the 1996 Summer Olympics in men' singles. He reached the semifinals, where he was defeated by Poul-Erik Høyer Larsen. He also lost the bronze medal match against Rashid Sidek.
[edit] World Championships
He won two medals in the IBF World Championships. In 1995 he became world champion in Lausanne, defeating Park Sung-woo in the final; in 1997 he won the bronze medal.
