Hard To Find Records first began in Birmingham, England in 1991 and is currently located just a minutes walk from the The Mailbox and about five minutes walk from Birmingham New Street station at:

The company started out as the first professional dance music vinyl finder in the UK and now trades as one the largest vinyl and DJ equipment megastores in the world. HTFR contains over 10,000 records as well as over 2,000 DJ equipment products to purchase instore with an additional 150,000+ records available to browse and be purchased on their online store www.htfr.com

The HTFR store contains In-store Vinyl search PCs with MP3s for customer use, allowing customers to browse and search through over 150,000 records, many of which are either deleted or highly desirable. Customers are also offered the choice to demo many of the 2,000 DJ equipment products on display. The store also employees over 70 experienced members of staff, many with specialist knowledge in certain music genres or products as well as dedicated customer advisors.

HTFR specialises in rare house music and hip hop records as well as signed LPs, new releases, deleted vinyl, DJ equipment hardware and accessories.

The store also has 16 listening posts so customers can listen to the latest vinyl before they buy as well as a dedicated clothing section.

The HTFR website - www.htfr.com - has been in operation for over seven years and has seen many changes throughout its lifetime. Currently the website offers users gallery views on most of its products, MP3 samples on most of it's vinyl as well as sample video downloads on DVDs.
