Harbor Teacher Preparation Academy

The Harbor Teacher Preparation Academy is a high school in the Wilmington area of Los Angeles, California. It is under the jurisdiction of the Los Angeles Unified School District, and its principal is Mattie Adams.
Education at this school is based around the idea that students take college level classes while still attending high school. They also begin to take AP classes which is recognized by all Universities. The premier goal of the school is that students graduate with their AA degree.
As of February 2006, there are 304 students attending this school.
Harbor Teacher Preparation Academy is also known as H.T.P.A.
The school is located on Harbor College's tennis court featuring 5 bungalos consisting of 9 classrooms and an office.
They expanded their sports division to include baseball, basketball, cheer, drill team, soccer, softball, and cross country in the 2006-2007 school year.
In 2007 HTPA won the California Distinguished School award.
