[edit] Plot

Yeong-su enjoys his free life. But when his store fails and he separates with his girlfriend Su-yeon, he becomes seriously ill. Telling people that he's going abroad to study, he instead goes to a quiet place called Sigol, the "House of Hopes".

There, he meets Eun-hye who has been working in this house for 8 years but has a sickness that can kill her if she exercises too much. Despite her disease, she is active and friendly, and soon becomes close to Yeong-su.

Yeong-su begins to like Eun-hye too and comes to depend on her. When Eun-hye asks him to live together he is stunned with happiness. One year later, Yeong-su regains his health with Eun-hye's help. She is happy but unlike her, he begins to tire of the boring routine of their life. Right in time, Su-yeon comes to visit him. Yeong-su abandons Eun-hye in favor of Su-yeon.
