Pleased to see a Washington, D.C. historian on Wikipedia (Smithsonian immediately comes to mind). Looking forward to reading your edits. Skål - Williamborg (Bill) 02:29, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

- thank you! I am not at the Smithsonian though. I am with a small museum but wouldn't mind a Smithsonian paycheck! Too many historians look down their nose at Wikipedia, but I hope that if we participate, then we can add some value to it. Now if I can just remember the darn tildes when I edit... [edit] Woodrow Wilson ranking
Thanks for adding the cite! It's quite a find. I was about to add it to Harding's article (and see if it could be added to Wikisource or WP somehow), when to my surprise, I realized the ref was wikilinked to Historical rankings of United States Presidents, which has some commentary in the second list "Presidents by average scholar rank" and survey info after. I never would've found either reference without your help. TransUtopian 17:35, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

- Glad I could help. I didn't think to look and see if it were on Wikipedia, but I knew the survey results would be on the web someplace. Hanover81 18:02, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] frustrated
HELP! I am getting very frustrated. Does Wikipedia have a simple table listing tags for things such as POV? I have been trying to edit a page on a particular author who has a noticable political bias and the original author keeps undoing any changes that make the piece more neutral. He ignores efforts to discuss the matter. I thinks some admins should step in but don't know how to flag them. I asked a question at Village Pump but was ignored.
thanks!
- You can find a list of dispute tags here. This includes neutrality tags. I'll take a look at the article and the editor's behavior. -- Merope Talk 15:38, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
