[edit] Meaning of advent

To create a page on the 'meaning of advent', first check and see if there is not a close match in an existing page. For example, could you add text to Advent. Cheers! Wassupwestcoast (talk) 16:32, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

You may want to consult this page: Wikipedia:Your first article. Also, the 'Welcome' above has useful info. And ask questions on the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Anglicanism page. Cheers! Wassupwestcoast (talk) 16:39, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Advent

Hi, I think that you'll have to wait a few days to edit the Advent article. The article is 'protected'. This means that people have been vandalizing (adding abusive content or simple nonsesne) to the page. Cheers! Wassupwestcoast (talk) 19:51, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Reply Thankyou.very much! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hanjay09 (talkcontribs) 19:53, 10 December 2007
I've found the answer. You'll have to wait four days.
  • Semi-protection disables editing from anonymous users and registered accounts less than four days old

[edit] 'Signing' your comments

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! Please be bold and contribute!. Cheers! Wassupwestcoast (talk) 20:01, 10 December 2007 (UTC) Thanks!

Reply Thanks Very Much!! How do You Know Father Tim Anyway??

I don't! I've must have worded a response to you oddly. Sorry. Cheers! Wassupwestcoast (talk) 21:15, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] User boxes

In the jargon of Wikipedia, the little boxes people put on their user pages are called 'userboxes' or 'user boxes'" see Wikipedia:Userboxes. That article at the bottom has links to lots of them. To add them to your user page, you have to surround them with {{ and }}. For example, {{User:UBX/Happy}} is a happy face user box and {{User swimmer}} makes the swimmer user box. Most of the stuff I've learned through trial and error by looking at the code on other peoples user pages. Cheers! Wassupwestcoast (talk) 21:14, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
