I'm always a bit suspicious when I hear about musicians being really popular in Japan, but the grammar was broken, so I fixed it. Anyway, I believe this whole article needs significant NPOVing, but I'm not an expert on the topic... Martijn Faassen 12:28, 25 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- There is some evidence he is in fact popular in Japan as in Gold Record territory. That would seem to translate to between 100,000 and 250,000 in sales for Japan as I don't think it said platinum. I don't know if that means "immensely popular" as it's a nation of around 130 million people, but I toned down that element and sourced it as best I could.--T. Anthony 03:34, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
This article was entirely POV, I deleted almost all of it. If anyone wants to rewrite it, and knows anything about him, feel free. Keep in mind that this is an encylopedia article, not a fan web page. --Xyzzyplugh 00:17, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
