Talk:Hans Bronsart von Schellendorff
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Schellendorff? Every library reference I know gives Bronsart or Bronsart von Schellendorf for him and his relatives (some of whom were also famous enough - a German WW1 general and author, for example), if I remember! The change seems hastily made. Will look into this later. (Edit: inserting the r, but still doesn't seem right ;) ) Schissel | Sound the Note! 14:38, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] One f will do!
I agree - the only references to Bronsart von Schellendorf that I can find spell it thus, with one f. My fear is that by spelling it with a double-f, people won't find it. Someone should make a redirect page to stop this happening.
I've added some information on his compositions, and a shameless plug for Michael Ponti's recording.

[edit] Fanfare
I seem to recall that a short fanfare from one of his works (?? a piano concerto) was once used in the opening of movies from a particular studio (Columbia Pictures? Universal? ... just guessing). Can anyone shed light on this? JackofOz 20:47, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
