I tend to think that Hans should be an article in its own right. When two names diverge and become identified as seperate, as John and Hans have in English, it seems unnecessary to group them into one article because of their origin. --TeaDrinker 20:36, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

I agree here, Hans has certainly developed, and although these two names may share the same origins, they are both established names in German and English speaking cultures. Keep them separate. - HammerHeadHuman ^(talk)(work) 16:48, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
