WikiProject Musical Theatre tasks:
edit this Open Tasks template
- Articles needing a content fork
- Mainly, these are articles on films and either their source or subsequent musicals. There are a couple where the musical needs to be "forked" from the source material. Feel free to add or remove as necessary. Important: If you split an article, please make sure that you move all the relevant links from the first article to the new one. To find which links to move, click on "What links here" at the old article and look through the list to see which links should be pointed to the film related link (for example, articles on actors in the film). Then, click on those links and update them to point to the film article. Thanks!

[edit] Spamalot
If you don't see Azaria in the broadway stage play Spamalot while you can (it has finished its run in Chicago, and is now in NY), you'll miss one of the funniest performances--and plays--by anyone in a long time. Azaria, along with David Hyde Pierce and Tim Curry, bring Monty Python to the stage in a way no one could imagine! Although Curry and Pierce have the more familiar faces and Curry has a wealth of history behind him--Azaria nearly steals the show from them both! It is so tempting to try to hear Apu or Moe in his voice when he's playing the taunting frenchman, or the leader of the Knights who say Ni, but, his range of voice is so expansive that not once (and I saw the play twice!) did I hear any of the Simpson's characters on stage. This play will surely put Azaria's face out there where we will all know him by sight and not just by voice anymore! Go Hank--great job. Cindy from Indy Check out the play's website: www.montypythonsspamalot.com
If you did miss Hank in Spamalot, then good news! He plans to return to the show this fall to take on the same roles as he did earlier this year.
I just saw Hank Azaria in Spamalot two days ago, December 14, 2005. Hank's talent is so incredible. His voice and facial expressions on stage are hilarious. As for off-stage, he's a very sweet guy (I met him and he couldn't have been nicer!). Yes, definitely go see Spamalot now while Hank still stars in it! Two big thumbs up!
[edit] Picture
This article really needs at least one picture of Azaria.PowderedToastMan 08:15, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bohemian Grove
Azarias involvement with the Bohemian Grove and his appearance in the Alex Jones documentary must be specified. In the versions of the documentary available on Google Video he does not appear, so this information will be removed untll a further and more precise reference is posted.
[edit] Old Jewish Man
In a recent appearance on the Tonight Show, he told Leno that Old Jewish Man is based on his (Azaria's) grandmother. I don't know if you can use that or not though... -- Scorpion0422 22:37, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
- Presumably his other grandmother, because he says he based his role in The Birdcage on his grandmother. Anyway, do you have the exact wording? And the date the show aired? Gran2 22:49, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
- It aired about a week after the Movie aired. And it was his fathers mother. -- Scorpion0422 23:47, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
This man is also armenian. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.153.169.55 (talk) 16:44, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] GA pass
I'm passing this article's nomination. Just one mistake spotted; Reneé is spelt incorrectly in the image caption. Good work. Chwech 18:00, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Independence Day
I'm watching Independence Day right now on cable and I could swear I saw Hank as an extra in one of the scenes. I went on the IMDB and did some googling but didn't find anything. It's the scene soon after Harry Connick Jr gets shot down. They're telling everyone to retreat and the commander or whatever says something and a guy sitting at a computer, who looks a lot like Hank, says something back. Then the commander guy drops his cigar. Is that him or are my eyes just bad? 70.119.16.66 22:22, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Married to Helen Hunt?
The intro needs to be reconciled with the divorce info from later in the article. Cirt (talk) 07:30, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- "from 1999 to 2000" is pretty clear I think. Gran2 15:28, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
