I just unmerged it and added a ref...hanging valley is a distinct feature of glacial erosion and deserves it's own stub at least.--MONGO 18:58, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
There was no reason to recreate it unless you had substantial new content. I've added the reference to Valley; that article need to have sources added. The way, the truth, and the light 20:54, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
It is sourced and is a distinct feature of glaciology that deserves at least a separate stub...please stop doing your unilateral redirections...it is getting tiresome.--MONGO 21:08, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
I don't understand the argument for merging Hanging valley. A major way that WP grows is by adding to stubs. Mergeto/mergefrom tags should be added to give people a chance to comment. I didn't see the discussion at Talk:Valley. Walter Siegmund (talk) 21:11, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
It's there - Talk:Valley#Rewrite and merger. The way, the truth, and the light 21:24, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
The purpose of the {{mergeto}}/{{mergefrom}} tags is to give people who are watching one article but not the other an opportunity to discuss the proposed change before it is executed. Merge tags are more visible to people who have an overly large watch list (like me). Walter Siegmund (talk) 21:30, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
