Hans Joachim Störig (born 1915 in Quenstedt) is a German non-fiction author, best known for his Kleine Weltgeschichte der Philosophie.

Störig studied history, philosophy, sociology and law at various universities and attained PhD's in both law and philosophy. He has taught at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
His most successful book, Kleine Weltgeschichte der Philosophie, was originally published in 1950. It has since been translated into six languages and has been revised and updated several times. It is still in print.
