The vessel with name Hannover Bridge is one of the largest and most modern container vessels of the world, built ever. The vessel is registered in Panama, in spite the Japan ship-owner and German name.

The ship is carrying containers, which is the fastest developing sector in cargo shipping. Container ships are some of the most modern and most beautiful vessels. In fact you may tell that this sector is developing the whole shipping mostly. Hannover Bridge was built in 2006 in the Japan ship-yard IHR-Kure. The ship can carry 8,212 TEUs according to company requirements, but IMO claims that this vessel capacity is more than 10 thousand. The company, which opperates with Hannover Bridge is K-Line Group, and its container shipping sector. The company has 55 container ships, and with this capacity is some of the big players on this market. The Gross tonnage of Hannover Bridge is 98,747 metric tons, the lenght of the vessel is 336 metes and the beam is 46 meters. These measurements are making this vessel one of the most known ships in the world.

The main diesel engine is Daewoo and allows to the vessel to reach the maximum speed of 24 knots. The cruising speed of Hannover Bridge is 21 knots and the economy one is 20.5 knots. All these speeds are reached with more than 20% lower comsumption of heavy fuel. The emissions of CO2 are decreased in the new innovated diesel engine. That is important in ecological point of view.
