Hannah Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hannah Park is a football ground in Shotts, midway between Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland. It has one of the largest pitches whilst remaining within the regulation sizes for football grounds.
The local team using Hannah Park is Shotts Bon Accord. There is a local social club attached.
The ground was created in 1959 using local volunteer labour, one of whom - Jim Hannah - died of thrombosis contracted during the efforts to finish the Pitch in time for the approaching season. The park is named in his honor.
