Hang Ten
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hanging Ten is a surfing maneuver, considered one of the most impressive and iconic stunts one can perform with a surfboard. Hanging ten is when the surfer positions the surfboard in such a way that the back of it is covered by the wave and the waverider is free to scootch to the front of the board, hang all ten toes over the nose of the board, all while holding two "high fives" up in the air as a celebratory indication of this feat.
Hang Ten also refers to a skateboard move called Hang Ten Nosemanual.
Additionally, Hang Ten is the nickname of Somalian warlord Ugunte Toronto, given to him because of his love of surfing. After acquiring the moniker, he also developed the habit of eating and feeding his troops the genitals of and then hanging ten of the strongest enemy soldiers from a tree.
Hang Ten can also refer to an American clothing retailer. [1]
