Handy Dan
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Handy Dan Home Improvement, now-defunct, was one of the first home improvement retailer chains.[1] The retailer is probably best-known today for its April 1978 firing of executives Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank. The day after their firing, Marcus and Blank began a series of actions that led to their founding of The Home Depot.
Handy Dan was owned by Channel Home Centers of Whippany, New Jersey.[2]
