Hancock Rescue Squad

The Hancock Rescue Squad is a combined ,career and volunteer, Fire / Rescue station located in the town of Hancock, Maryland. Established in 1967 , the station responds to around 900 emergencycalls per year. The station houses 2 ALS equipped ambulances, 1 ALS equipped chase vehicle, 1 BLS equipped chase vehicle and 1 Rescue Squad set up to facilitate vehicle extrication as well as to assist in fire ground operations,search and rescue, and technical rescue. The department is part of the Washington County, Maryland Volunteer Fire Rescue Association. The station number is # 59.

The Station is located on East Main Street in Hancock.

The station runs mutual aide to assist numerous other jurisdictions including Allegany County, Maryland; Morgan County, West Virginia; Franklin County, Pennsylvania; Fulton County, Pennsylvania; and Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
