This was on the pre-move "Hampton Loade station" article, written by another editor, and is reproduced exactly here:

The station is served by volunteer station master Mr. S. Dockerty and his volunteer Assistant Station Master Mr. R. Dodd, both appointed in 1999. Mr. Fred Hughes is Chief Booking Clerk heading the platform and booking office staff. Fred is a legendary railwayman with over 40 years BR service from 1952-1993 under his belt. Fred latterly rose to the positon of senior Guard working HST's, starting off as a Porter at Kings Norton in 1952 after national service in Singapore and at home. Fred is a mind of old tales, recalling many stories of days when he was working for BR. Frederick is affectionally called 'The Minx' by the station staff. Photo's of Fred can be seen at this link
