Talk:Hamiltonian system
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A Hamiltonian system is one that can be described in terms of Hamiltonian mechanics. There is already a brief article on Hamiltonian mechanics on Wiki.Maybe this stub is not really needed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dr rocket (talk • contribs) .

[edit] not explanatory
Like most wikipedia pages concerning mathematics, this page is not explanatory. Perhaps someone who understands what a hamiltonian system is but doesn't have a PHD in creating obtuse unreadable explanations can edit it (for instance, an engineer instead of a college professor). If I understood what a hamiltonian system was, I would. Explain first of all what 'Hamiltonian' actually means, because apparently, nobody can. I'm getting sick and tired of reading physics and mathematics pages without somebody explaining the basic stuff, instead linking to pages that aren't explanatory, like this one. Any wikipedia page which isn't explanatory, fails in it's basic premise. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Crusty007 (talk • contribs) 22:18, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
