[edit] Summary

The seal of Hamilton College. The text around the outside reads, "Seal of Hamilton College, founded 1812." The banner over the scene depicted reads "Gnothi Seauton" ("Know thyself" in Greek), and the words that the angel points to are "Lux et Veritas" ("Light and Truth" in Latin).

I am currently searching for a better-quality version of this seal, but this is a difficult task as the college is phasing it out in favor of their more modern logo (as can be seen on the College's web site). If you have a seal of higher quality in your possession, feel free to upload it in place of this image.

This version will remain until I either fix the Latin on the previous incarnation, or find a better-looking version.)
