Hampton Downs Motorsport Park is currently under construction between Auckland and Hamilton in New Zealand. When complete, the track will consist of two independent circuits that can also be combined to form one large circuit.

The motorsport park is an ambitious privately funded enterprise, that will include four blocks of 20 apartments, trackside, that were offered for sale September 2004 to the local classic and historic race community and all 80 were sold out within three weeks. The first block of units is currently under construction and the undulating track has already been levelled and graded and is currently settling before the metal surface is laid. Completion is planned for late 2008 and is likely to become a major venue for local motorsport, without the restrictions imposed by tracks that share the use with the horse racing fraternity. Designed at the outset as a top class venue, it could well host major events such as the NZ round of the A1GP and possibly the Australian V8 Supercar series.

Many of the trackside apartments will be available to rent in the same way as a motel unit, and ultimately, the complex will include a conference centre, swimming pool, tennis court and fitness club and restaurant for the use of residents/guests.

The track has been designed for FIA Level 2 usage, and that is just one step below Formula One. There are industrial units being built and the track is already booked out for 5 days a week for driver training and various industry promotions.
