Hamont-Achel is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg. On January 1, 2006 Hamont-Achel had a total population of 13,770. The total area is 43.66 km² which gives a population density of 315 inhabitants per km². The municipality houses Brouwerij de Achelse Kluis in the Trappist Abbey of Achel, one of the 7 Trappist breweries.
