Hamish Gee is the drummer in New Zealand band The Feelers.
He has two older brothers and a young half brother and sister. He attended the same primary school and high school, Christchurch Boys High School as another member of The Feelers, James Reid.
After finishing high school, Hamish got an English scholarship but chose to attend the Jazz School at Christchurch Polytechnic. Hamish was well known in Christchurch for his heavy drinking, during this period[citation needed].
Hamish has played in several bands since he was 11, including one where fellow New Zealand musician Bic Runga played the drums.
