Hamilton House, East Lothian

Hamilton House is a historic house in the village of Preston in East Lothian, Scotland, UK, along with its neighbouring communities of Prestonpans and Prestongrange.

The house was built in 1926 by Sir John Hamilton who was the brother of Thomas Hamilton, the 1st Earl of Haddington.

Hamilton House was acquired by, and is in the care of, the National Trust for Scotland.

Very close by are the Preston Tower (which was owned by the Hamiltons), Northfield House, Preston Lodge, and, a little further away, the former baronial house of Prestongrange, now in the hands of Royal Musselburgh Golf Club.
