Hamidullah Khan
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hamidullah Khan (9 September 1894-4 February 1960) was the last ruling Nawab of Bhopal, prior to its merger with the state of Madhya Pradesh in 1956. He ruled from 1926 when his mother, Begum Kaikhusrau Jahan Begum, abdicated in his favor, until his death in 1960. A delegate to the Round Table Conference in London, he served as Chancellor of the Chamber of Princes from 1931-1932 and from 1944-1947, when India became independent. At his death, he left no sons and so was succeeded by his second daughter, Sajida Sultan, Begum of Bhopal.
